Uneasy Rider: Travels Through a Mid-Life Crisis - Mike Carter. A real good story and the adventures of a bloke who with no bike, no license ends doing 20,000 miles across 27 countries. No more clues as to how or why – but well worth the read. One great adventure that I’m sure we’d all love to do given the chance (time, commitments and bottle allowing).
Old Man on a Bike - Simon Gandolfi. Another story of a bloke doing a trip on his own. What makes this interesting is at 73 he rode a 125cc Honda ‘pizza bike’ across thirteen countries. Just shows you don’t always need the entourage that accompany the likes of McGregor/Boorman. Well done ol’ chap.
A Biker's Life: Misadventures on (and off) Two Wheels - Henry Cole. You know this bod. If you didn’t already know about his heritage and addictions you will learn about that here. It’s always been quite obvious he’s not short of a bob or two but this book will help that those that perhaps aren’t so taken by him warm to him. Even without Sam & Alan to hold him up, it provides a good insight to himself, his ways and love of motorbikes. (Still reading this at the moment).
