× COVID-19 Unprecedented times continue.....
× Summer 2020   Time to Ride?
This year continues to be a strange and uncertain one. It would seem a shame if we cannot make the most of it where and when we can - just be respectful of others. I'm sure we all want to stay safe and well. And so I ask the question -  Where are you going or planning to go? Where's your local haunt? Where are the good spots near you?
This project has been sadly scuppered by the year so far and so now, more than ever YOUR HELP & LOCAL KNOWLEDGE IS NEEDED. In fact this recent post here says it all:
nowhere to go
With your recommendations of cafes, rides, routes, events and other biking info, I can continue to create a list/directory of spots going from town to town, county to county, countrywide...... so that we will always have Somewhere to Ride. Please get involved directly here on the site or get in touch here.

Getting out on your bike and going for a run out is fun.....and yes riding around those same roads, going to the same place, having coffee and cake in your favourite spot is always good - but there is much more out there to be discovered and enjoyed. It is the aim here to share your ride-outs, favourite roads, your routes and destinations to assist other riders discover those good biking roads and places to go. But it doesn't just have to be about roads - there are a number of off-road 'green lanes' about if you happen to have the bike to ride them and no doubt lots of other great motorcycle spots if you know where to look. Local knowledge is by far the best - and by using yours - we can build this site to cover many areas far and wide so that, should you find yourself somewhere new, there will be a recommended ride/destination nearby.

So what are you waiting for?! Get stuck in and share your rides and destinations in the Somewhere To Ride forum.

The forum is the foundation of this site to enable you to share with others and discover new rides and places to go - so your help is needed. Information from the forum will be used to help build this site to make it a great biking resource e.g. Featured rides and destinations etc will be taken from other users of this site in the forum.

Somewhere To Ride is designed not to be just another social-media site - but more of a dedicated resource for motorcyclists. Read all about how the project started. Help to make it grow!

Where Do You Want To Ride Today?

"But I don't need this, I know where I'm going, I don't need a map, blah, blah" I hear you say but if you're anything like me, as much as I like riding my bike "just-because-I-can", I do enjoy a good ride out with a purpose - even if it's just to go for coffee and a bit of cake! So please take a look around the site - take a ride and most importantly get involved and share your rides.

Now the world is a big place and I am sure that there are plenty of great places to ride - but at least for the moment, let's concentrate on what England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland has to offer.

Imagine you find yourself in another part of the country - a place you've never been to before. You could be just visiting, on holiday, going for an event or even just simply going beyond your normal ride.....but where to go?!

Look at the map below - neatly divided in to counties. How great would it be to be able to find all the best biking routes, roads and cafes etc in all the counties across the UK and Ireland, provided by bikers for bikers? This is where your knowledge and experience of the best rides and stops in your local area is vital - to help build this site in to a great motorbiking resource.

Take a look here at some of the rides from other users to give you an some ideas!
